Jermyn Street Theatre and IDX Productions present
BETWEEN THE CROSSES
A new play devised by Will Huggins and the company

Between the Crosses
is the entertaining story of Edgar
Huggins, a horseman by trade and a groom during the
First World War who, on his faithful mount Captain,
trots through the battlefields of Ypres and the Somme.

Incorporating interviews, diaries and publications,
this new play examines war from the perspective
of the innocent and un-glorified survivor.

Between the bomb-blasts, between the barbed-wire,
and far away from any war poets, not even the
Great War can strip a man of his humour.

Jermyn Street Theatre and IDX Productions have commissioned this new World War One play, to celebrate Armistice Day, 2003. Between the Crosses is inspired by archive audio interviews with the playwright's veteran relations, made by the Imperial War Museum, and supported by Westminster Arts.
